Every sport has its origin story. Every team has a moment before the moment, a time when the idea existed only in someone’s head and the field was still just a patch of earth. Building the Coconuts exists to document exactly that.
The Bohol Coconuts Baseball and Softball Club is launching in 2026. Before the first organized game, before the first roster is finalized, a camera crew is already rolling. Season 1 of Building the Coconuts captures the full arc of what it takes to build a sports club from the ground up in one of the Philippines’ most beautiful provinces.
The show’s Season 1 teaser drops on June 19. The official trailer follows five days later, on June 21, giving audiences their first full look at what the series has in store.
Building the Coconuts is a docuseries. Not a highlight reel. Not a promotional video. A genuine, unscripted look at what happens when a small group of people decide to build something that has never existed before in their community.
Season 1 follows the founding period of the club from Barangay Cambanac in Bohol. Cameras capture the planning, the people, the setbacks, and the small wins that no press release would ever mention. The field infrastructure is not yet built. The rosters are not yet set. That is the entire point.
This is not a story about a finished product. It is a story about what gets built and by whom.

Sports documentaries tend to arrive after the fact. The team has already won. The coach is already legendary. The city has already celebrated. The drama has already been resolved, and the camera is simply reconstructing it.
Building the Coconuts does something different. The story is happening in real time, and the cameras are there for it. There is no finished arc to reconstruct. There is only what is being built, right now, by people who have no guarantee it will work.
That uncertainty is the whole story. And it is the kind of story that only exists once, in the beginning, before anyone knows how it ends.
