Inside the Deal: What Every Segment on Building the Coconuts Actually Buys You

By Building the Coconuts Staff | May 2026

Building the Coconuts premieres on YouTube on June 23, 2026. It is a 29-episode weekly reality docuseries following the launch of the Bohol Coconuts Baseball and Softball Club in Barangay Cambanac, Bohol, Philippines.

Every episode is structured around named recurring segments, and every one of those segments is available to a single sponsor for the entire season. Category exclusivity is guaranteed. No competitor can appear in your segment at any point during the 29-week run.

The show’s audience is not a generic sports crowd. Viewers include baseball and softball families, Philippine diaspora communities across the United States and Japan, international fans of grassroots sports development, and travelers and retirees who follow stories about expat life in Southeast Asia.

The segment structure was built to give sponsors a natural, contextual home inside content their target audience is already watching.

Pricing is performance-based. Every segment is priced at $0.05 per verified YouTube view, measured 30 days after each episode publishes. That is the number that determines which of the four tiers the episode falls into.

Entry-level segments in the Community Tier start at $100 per episode at Tier 1 and rise from there as the audience grows. The highest-visibility placements begin at $400 per episode at Tier 1. Sponsors who commit to all 29 episodes before the June 23 premiere lock the Tier 1 baseline rate and receive a 20 percent full-season discount at signing.

Lerma Moore, General Manager of the Bohol Coconuts and Kagawad of Barangay Cambanac, was direct about what motivated the segment design.

“We wanted every sponsor to have a reason to be there,” she said. “Not just a logo on a screen, but a real part of the story we are telling.”

The segment inventory is organized across four tiers: Premier, Featured, and Community tiers, with pricing that reflects placement, duration, and visibility. Two segments carry Premier status. Six carry Featured status at the $200 level. Five more sit in the mid-range Featured tier at $150. The final four are Community tier at $100 per episode.

“The brands that came in early understood something,” Moore said. “They are not just buying an ad. They are buying a seat at the table for an entire season of a show that documents something that has never been done before in Philippine baseball.”

The show premieres in 31 days. Here is what each segment actually is.
